MANILA – Northeast monsoon or “amihan” and easterlies will continue to affect the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Sunday.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the weather bureau said northern Luzon, particularly Cagayan Valley and Apayao, will experience cloudy skies with light rains due to "amihan".

The rest of Cordillera Administrative Region and Aurora will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

The northern and eastern sections of the country will experience moderate to rough seas due to moderate to strong winds blowing from the east to the northeast.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds heading northeast with slight to moderate waters.

The temperature in Metro Manila will range from 22°C to 32°C; Baguio City, 15°C to 24°C; Laoag City, 23°C to 29°C; Legazpi City, 24°C to 32°C; Metro Cebu, 26°C to 30°C; Puerto Princesa City, 25°C to 32°C; and Metro Davao, 24°C to 33°C. (PNA)
