MANILA – Six ranking police officials were designated to new positions in the latest reorganization of the Philippine National Police (PNP) effective Wednesday.

Based on PNP chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil's order dated May 14, Police Regional Office (PRO)-Caraga director Brig. Gen. John Kirby Kraft was designated as the new chief of the Directorate for Personnel and Records Management.

Meanwhile, Highway Patrol Group (HPG) chief Brig. Gen. Alan Nazarro replaced Kraft as the new PRO-Caraga director.

Director for Plans, Brig. Gen. Jay Cumigad replaced Nazarro as the new HPG head while Col. Rudencindo Reales from the PRO 3 (Central Luzon) was transferred to the Directorate for Comptrollership.

Col. Bernardo Perez from the Directorate for Information and Technology Management (DICTM) and Col. Edwin Quilates from the PNP Training Service switched posts.

This is the fifth revamp of police officials since Marbil took over as PNP chief on April 1.

Marbil earlier said the reshuffle is necessary to "preposition" officials that are fit for their next assignments. (PNA)
