LEGAZPI CITY – The new satellite office of the Department of Agriculture in Bicol - Philippine Carabao Center (PCC) in Camarines Sur is ready to serve and provide technical assistance to farmers, students, and researchers in the region.

Lovella Guarin, DA-Bicol spokesperson, on Friday said the new PHP2.36-million building is part of the Department of Agriculture-Bicol’s commitment to elevating the quality of its livestock program services.

"With this new office, PCC can now give technical assistance to more clients in the region. They can now provide easy, comfortable, and convenient delivery of service to clients," she told the Philippine News Agency.

The PCC satellite office is located at the DA-Bicol compound in Barangay San Agustin, Pili town in Camarines Sur province.

Guarin said the first satellite office in the region will also have a liquid nitrogen generator plant that will start operating in the next few months.

The facility will enhance ruminant production by meeting the region’s need for livestock breeding and genetic upgrading.

It has a power generator, a three-phase transformer, separate electric and water meters, and storage tanks to be installed, maintained, and operated by the PCC. (PNA)
