FIVB approves more than 1K projects worldwide for volleyball dev’t

GENEVA – The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) announced Wednesday that the FIVB Volleyball Empowerment and Development Program has approved 1,075 projects since its inception in 2017.

The world volleyball governing body has invested more than 30 million Swiss francs (about USD32.8 million) into these projects, benefiting 199 National Federations (NFs).

These projects encompass a wide range of initiatives, including coaching, equipment, and education, all aimed at raising the level of national teams.

"Reaching 1,075 approved projects is a testament to the program's commitment to empowering athletes, national teams, and NFs in every corner of the world to fulfill their potential," the FIVB said in its statement. (Xinhua)
