MANILA – Land Transportation Office (LTO) chief, Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza II is eyeing to put up more extension and satellite offices across the country.

In his speech during the inauguration of an LTO extension office in Naga City, Cebu Thursday, Mendoza said having more extension and satellite offices would reinforce the digitalization of all LTO services -- from application and renewal of driver’s licenses to the application and renewal of vehicle registration.

“Our digitalization efforts, along with our plans to open more satellite and extension offices, would make it easier for the Filipino people to enjoy the fast and comfortable services of the LTO,” he said.

During the event, he also called on LTO employees in the city and the Central Visayas Region to provide fast and comfortable service to the public.

“Kapag naayos na natin ang lahat ng challenges sa LTO, kasama dyan ang normalization ng supply ng plastic card at plaka, tiyak na lalong ma-appreciate ng taong bayan ang ating mga hirap at pagod (If we’re able to fix all challenges to the LTO, that includes the normalization of plastic cards and plates supply, I’m sure the public will appreciate our hard work),” he said.

He also called on LTO officials to continue offering free theoretical driving courses to poor Filipinos. (PNA)
