MANILA – Stacy Rane Chiu came up with an impressive performance on Wednesday to rule the girls' 13-15 category in the ICTSI JPGT Visayas Series 3 at the Negros Occidental Golf and Country Club.
The Cebuana earned 15 points from the victory to join Tiffany Bernardino in the Match Play Championship this October. Both have 27 points.
In the boys’ division, Nyito Tiongko played true to form and secured his second straight title. He tallied 30 points to advance in the national finals along with Inno Flores, who earned 27 points.
Others who made it to the finals of the series scheduled at The Country Club in Laguna on Oct. 1-4 are Race Manhit and Kurt Flores (boys’ 10-12), Cailey Gonzales and Zuri Bagaloyos (girls’ 10-12), Tobias Tiongko and Kvan Alburo (boys’ 8-9), and Eliana Mendoza and Ana Marie Aguilar (girls’ 8-9).
Meanwhile, the JPGT Mindanao Series will kick off at the Apo Golf Club in Davao on July 23-26, followed by South Pacific Golf Club in Davao from July 30 to Aug. 2.
The series will move to the Del Monte Golf Club in Bukidnon on Aug. 6-9, and the Pueblo de Oro Golf and Country in Cagayan de Oro on Aug. 13-16. (PNA)
