MANILA – The Clark International Airport (CRK) has partnered with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) for a standardized sending of air navigation-related data, the airport's operator LIPAD announced on Tuesday.

The two parties signed a memorandum of agreement for data provision last July 5, ensuring that aeronautical data meet the requirements in enhancing safety within the Philippine airspace.

Under the agreement, the CRK will actively participate in Aeronautical Information Service (AIS) data originators conference that the CAAP co-organizes. Data originators are responsible for data accuracy.

Specialized training sessions will be provided by the AIS team, tailored to their operational requirements, according to LIPAD.

The operator added the conference also includes discussions on understanding AIS processes and data quality standards.

"At CRK, we are dedicated to pioneering advancements in aviation standards," LIPAD president Noel Manankil was quoted as saying.

For his part, CAAP Director General Manuel Tamayo said the signing of agreement marks a significant milestone in their efforts to elevate the country's AIS quality management system to international standards. (PNA)
