PRO-4A activates task group to probe Aussie couple’s deaths

CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – The Police Regional Office (PRO) in Calabarzon (PRO-4A) activated on Friday “Special Investigation Task Group DAVID FISK" to look into the deaths of an Australian couple and a Filipina at The Lake Hotel in Tagaytay City, Cavite.

The victims have been identified as "David," a 57-year-old Australian citizen, his partner "Lucita," a 55-year-old Filipina who has acquired Australian citizenship, and "Mary," a 30-year-old Filipina.

The victims were discovered in their hotel room on Wednesday afternoon with their hands and feet bound, and their mouths taped shut.

In a statement, PRO-4A Regional Director Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas said the task group's primary objective is to swiftly identify and apprehend the suspect, or suspects, responsible for the crime.

He emphasized the importance of leveraging gathered evidence and CCTV footage to trace the perpetrator.

"We are currently conducting a thorough investigation based on the evidence collected so far. Our task group is diligently working on back-tracking CCTV footage and pursuing leads to identify the suspect. Updates on this case will be provided as new information emerges," Lucas said.
