MANILA – Operatives of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) seized over PHP2.7 million worth of shabu and arrested two female suspects in Taguig City on Wednesday.

In a report Thursday, NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez said Elizabeth Villanueva, 26, a high-value individual, and Clarita Corpuz, 58, were arrested in a sting operation along Mariano St. in the city's Barangay Ususan at about 6 p.m.

The suspects yielded seven pieces of knot-tied transparent plastic containing shabu weighing around 400 grams with an estimated street value of PHP2.72 million.

Nartatez said the suspects were brought to the Taguig City Police Station and would face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. (PNA)
