MANILA – The inclement weather brought about by Typhoon Carina has forced the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) to postpone its supposed triple-header on Tuesday at San Andres Sports Complex in Malate, Manila.

Manila, one of the hottest teams in the league right now especially since the arrival of Greg Slaughter, was supposed to take on Zamboanga later in the night.

Also on the supposed triple-header are games pitting Sarangani against Iloilo and Marikina against Valenzuela.

As the regular season is nearing its conclusion, Iloilo, Valenzuela, Zamboanga, and Manila, all in the playoff hunt, look to score huge wins to improve their bid to make the Last 16.

"The affected games pitting Sarangani against Iloilo, Marikina against Valenzuela, and Zamboanga against host Manila will be played at a later date in the round-robin elimination phase of the 29-team tournament," the MPBL said in a statement.

The MPBL will take another break on Wednesday before swinging back to action on Thursday night at Caloocan Sports Complex. (PNA)
