MANILA – The Philippine Insurance Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) on Friday said the new package rate for hemodialysis (HD) is now available in its electronic claims submission system (eClaims).
In an advisory, the PhilHealth said the new rate of PHP4,000 per session of treatment is part of the 156 HD coverage expansion.
"In order for the HFs (health facilities) and the IT (information technology) service providers to adjust to the system update on HD expansion, those HD sessions that are already on the 60th day and due for submission covering the period of July 1 to 15, 2024 shall not be considered of late filing and shall be accorded with extension provided they submitted the same within August 1 to 25, 2024," the PhilHealth said.
It added that current submission modalities of HD sessions through eClaims still applies and changes in the mode of filing will be announced.
On July 1, the PhilHealth increased the benefit package rate for HD from PHP2,600 to PHP4,000 per session.
This covered the laboratory tests, administrative fees, drugs or medicines, and supplies used by the patients in HD centers. (PNA)
