BUTUAN CITY – The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) has recognized the local government here for fully setting up an Electronic Business One-Stop Shop (e-BOSS) in adherence to the provisions of Republic Act No. 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Delivery of Government Service.

The establishment of the e-BOSS complies with Joint Memorandum Circular No. 01-2001 among ARTA, Department of Trade and Industry and Department of the Interior and Local Government, according to ARTA Director General Secretary Ernesto Perez.

“The city government of Butuan has complied with the functionalities described by the joint circular,” Perez said during the awarding here on Friday.

Vice Mayor Lawrence Lemuel Fortun, who represented Mayor Ronnie Vicente Lagnada, accepted the citation from Perez during the ceremony.

Perez said the city achieved functionalities such as submitting applications for business permits online, integrating the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) on the fire safety inspection certificate, integrating the issuance of barangay clearances, accepting payments online and issuing business permits online.

He added that the city government also successfully entered into a memorandum of agreements with the BFP and the barangay governments to implement the e-BOSS effectively. (PNA)
