COTABATO CITY – Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM) arrested a suspected drug peddler and seized PHP3.4 million worth of “shabu” during a buy-bust operation in Malabang, Lanao del Sur on Wednesday afternoon.
PDEA-BARMM Director Gil Cesario Castro said PDEA agents were backed by the police Special Action Force and other police units when they arrested Amenola T. Sabdullah, 40, of Barangay Tuboc, Malabang, Lanao del Sur.
“Amendola agreed to sell the stuff to an undercover agent in Barangay Bacayawan in the same town and was quickly arrested during the handover, Castro said in an interview Thursday.
Amendola allegedly yielded a half-kilo shabu, marked money, and identification cards.
On Tuesday, PDEA agents also arrested two drug peddlers and seized from them P6.8 million worth of shabu during a drug sting operation along a commercial district in this city. (PNA)
