MANILA – Rehabilitation and improvement works at The Mansion House in Baguio City are halfway complete, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) reported Thursday.

“Right now, the project is 51 percent completed,” DPWH - Cordillera Director Khadaffy Tanggol said in a statement.

He said repairs of the conference hall, as well as the construction of a technical inspection center within the vicinity of the President's official residence in the summer capital, are underway.

The rehabilitation and improvement project is worth PHP99.44 million.

“This upgrade, which aims to preserve the historical heritage and architecture of (The Mansion), will be completed by May 2025,” Tanggol added.

Upon the completion of the project, he said, it would have a new Presidential Museum, featuring seven galleries of the country’s past presidents.

The Mansion House, located along Romulo Drive in Barangay Lualhati, is a popular tourist spot in the city. (PNA)
