SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, Antique – A New People’s Army (NPA) rebel was killed when the communist group clashed with government troops in Valderrama town, Antique on Saturday morning.

Lt. Col. Arturo Balgos, Jr., commander of the Philippine Army 61st Infantry Battalion, said the troop engaged seven NPA rebels in a five-minute firefight in upland Barangay Calyat at 9 a.m.
