LEGAZPI CITY – Classes in all levels were suspended on Wednesday in Libon town, Albay province due to the moderate to heavy rains being experienced since Tuesday night.

Libon Mayor and Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (MDRRMC) chair Wilfredo Maronilla issued an advisory suspending classes in anticipation of flooding and landslides in low-lying areas and mountain slopes.

"Due to the continuous rainfall since last night, I hereby order the suspension of classes at all levels for both public and private schools in the municipality starting this noon until lifted," the advisory read.
