DAVAO CITY – Fugitive televangelist Apollo Quiboloy is still hiding within the compound of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) here, the Police Regional Office (PRO) 11 (Davao Region) reiterated Thursday.

Brig. Gen. Roderick Augustus Alba, spokesperson for the PRO-11 Special Task Group (STG) Teknon Alpha, vowed to continue implementing the arrest warrant for Quiboloy until the wanted sect leader is captured.

“I would like to emphasize that we have legal procedures being observed, though there is some information that the ground commander does not want to reveal so as not to compromise the ongoing procedure,” Alba said during a press conference.

He said they could not provide a timeline for Quiboloy’s arrest as they are still searching for him on a 30-hectare land.

Lt. Col. Jerick Filosofo, secondary spokesperson of STG Teknon Alpha, also maintained that they have a “reasonable belief” that Quiboloy is still in the compound.

“We want to emphasize that the information is not only from us. We also have information from different sources and rely on that until now,” he said.

Meanwhile, Maj. Catherine Dela Rey, PRO-11 spokesperson, said the regional police’s leadership remains confident that Quiboloy is in the compound, where an underground facility has been detected.

Dela Rey also reiterated that their primary purpose in the compound is to arrest Quiboloy and four other suspects.

“We will never bomb or destroy your structure because we are not after the structure, we are not after the church, and we are not after the members. Implementing the warrant of arrest is our job, and we are ordered by the court to do so,” she said. (PNA)
