Comelec sets bid for deployment, warehousing deal worth P1.7B

MANILA – The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has set the bidding for the warehousing and deployment of election paraphernalia, supplies, forms and equipment for the May 2025 national and local polls on Sept. 10.

The Comelec Special Bids and Awards Committee (SBAC) said the public bidding for the PHP1.7 contract will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Convention Hall of the Palacio del Gobernador Building in Intramuros, Manila.

"The Commission on Elections intends to apply the sum of PHP1,700,798,353.79 being the Approved Budget for the Contract (ABC) to payments,” the poll body said in an invitation to bid.

SBAC said bidding documents are now available at the SBAC Secretariat Office located at the Far East Managers and Investors Incorporated (FEMII) Building in Intramuros, Manila from Monday to Friday.

The contract consists of four lots with Lot 1 covering Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon, and has a budget of PHP296.2 million.

Lot 2 covers Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, and National Capital Region with allotted budget of PHP424.8 million; while Lot 3 has PHP364.9 million budget and covers Western Visayas, Central Visayas, and Eastern Visayas.

Lot 4 has the highest budget of PHP615.7 million as it covers Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, Soccsksargen, Caraga, and Bangsamoro.

The Comelec has set a pre-bid conference on Sept. 2 at 10 a.m., also to be held at the Convention Hall.

Bidders have until 9 a.m. on Sept. 16 to submit their bids at the SBAC Secretariat Office. (PNA)
