CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – The Land Transportation Office-Calabarzon (LTO-4A) has provided assistance to communities impacted by Severe Tropical Storm Enteng in Rizal province early this week.

In a news release on Friday, LTO-4A Regional Director Elmer J. Decena said the agency distributed 1,150 relief packs under their Calabarzon Assistance & Relief Efforts (C.A.R.E) program.

Of the total, 550 packs were delivered to residents of Barangay Inarawan and 300 packs to Barangay Dela Paz, both in Antipolo City.

Additionally, 300 packs were handed over to the Philippine National Red Cross for distribution in Rodriguez town.

Decena noted that the widespread damage in the areas left many residents in urgent need of essential supplies.

Volunteers from the LTO, working in collaboration with local government units and partner agencies, were instrumental in the distribution efforts, which also included feeding programs.

The C.A.R.E initiative is part of LTO-Calabarzon’s broader strategy to address the needs of vulnerable populations during crises.

“This initiative highlights LTO’s commitment to reaching those most affected by disasters and providing immediate relief to alleviate their hardships,” Decena said. (Zen Trinidad/PNA)
