CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – A murder suspect from Camarines Norte, who had been hiding in Cavinti town, Laguna province, was apprehended by local and regional law enforcement agencies, police reported Friday.
Acting Laguna Police Provincial Director, Col. Gauvin Mel Unos, said in a belated report that an alias Jhoni was arrested after a year of hiding on Thursday afternoon in Barangay Duhat by a joint team from the Cavinti Municipal Police Station (MPS), Capalonga MPS in Camarines Norte, and the Maritime Police-Calabarzon.
He said a warrant was issued for the suspect's arrest by the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 64 in Labo town, Camarines Norte. No bail was recommended for his temporary release.
The suspect is currently in the custody of the Cavinti MPS, where his case will be processed according to legal procedures.
