CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Members of the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) 10 (Northern Mindanao) are set to benefit from increased funding for consultations under the "Konsulta" program.

PhilHealth-10 Vice President Delio Aseron II announced during the "Bagong Pilipinas" media briefing that the PhilHealth Board has approved a budget increase per patient, raising it from PHP500 to PHP1,700.

"We encourage everyone to register with an accredited Konsulta provider of their choice and take advantage of this service," Aseron said.

He added that the program offers free maintenance medicines for asthma, diabetes, and hypertension, along with free laboratory services.

The Konsulta program is designed to provide free outpatient medical checkups to members, enhancing access to essential health care services.

Aseron also noted that PhilHealth has adopted the eGovPH app, launched by the Department of Information and Communications Technology, allowing members to easily manage their accounts via smartphone. (PNA)
