CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – Members of the Calamba City Police Station (CCPS) have apprehended a murder suspect ranked as the 4th most wanted person by the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Calabarzon.
In a statement Thursday, Col. Gauvin Mel Unos, acting provincial director of the Laguna Police Provincial Office (LPPO), said the suspect, identified only as alias Ren, was captured Wednesday afternoon in Barangay Bagong Kalsada, Calamba City.
Unos said the arrest followed a manhunt operation conducted by city warrant personnel to execute an arrest order issued by the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 104 in this city.
The court did not recommend bail for the suspect.
"This arrest sends a clear message to those evading the law," Unos said. "The Laguna PNP remains committed to pursuing wanted individuals and working closely with the community to ensure justice for victims of crime."
The suspect is currently being held at the CCPS custodial facility for further processing. (PNA)
