3 nabbed, P2.5-M shabu seized in Taguig, Parañaque anti-drug ops

MANILA – Police officers arrested three suspects, including a high-value individual (HVI), and seized some PHP2.58 million worth of shabu in separate operations in the cities of Taguig and Parañaque on Thursday.

In a report, National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Maj. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said the suspect Roger Sabolo, a listed HVI, was arrested in a sting operation in Barangay New Lower Bicutan, Taguig City at around 12:50 a.m.

Seized from Sabolo were 330 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of PHP2.24 million, buy-bust money and other non-drug evidence.

Meanwhile, two other suspects Alias Omar and Shayra were arrested in another buy-bust along San Andres St., Barangay Sun Valley, Parañaque City around 1:20 a.m.

Seized from suspects were 50 grams of shabu amounting to PHP340,000, one piece of genuine PHP500 bill utilized as buy-bust money and other non-drug evidence.

The three will be charged with violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) in relation to Section 26B (conspiracy to sell) of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
