BUTUAN CITY – The Police Regional Office in Caraga (PRO-13) has appointed new police chiefs for the provinces of Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and this city on Monday.
During a ceremony led by PRO-13 Director Brig. Gen. Alan Nazarro here, Col. Rommel Villamor was installed as the new chief of the Butuan City Police Office (BCPO), replacing Col. Marco Archinue.
Villamor previously served as the chief of the Regional Intelligence Division (RID) of PRO-13. Archinue, meanwhile, has been reassigned to lead the Regional Plans and Strategic Management Division.
Col. Jerome Dela Cruz was appointed as the new director of the Dinagat Islands Police Provincial Office, succeeding Col. Ruben Delos Santos. Dela Cruz formerly headed the Regional Information and Communication Technology Management Division, while Delos Santos will now serve as the new chief of PRO-13's RID.
In Surigao del Norte, Col. Nilo Texon, former chief of the Investigation Division (R-7) of PRO-13, assumed the role of provincial police director, replacing Col. Laudemer Laude who has been reassigned to head R-7.
“These officers have rendered two years of service in their respective posts,” said Maj. Jennifer Ometer, PRO-13’s chief of information, in a phone interview.
She added that senior Philippine National Police officers are typically assigned new duties after serving for two years in their positions. (PNA)
