2 female high-value targets yield P1.5M shabu in Taguig

MANILA – Operatives of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) seized around PHP1.5 million worth of shabu from two female high-value individuals (HVI) in a buy-bust in Taguig City late Monday.

In a report Tuesday, NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said the suspects Sandra Manibpal, 35, and Meriam Butukan, 30, were arrested during the operation along Jolo St. in Barangay Maharlika at about 11:45 p.m.

Seized from the suspects were 225 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of PHP1.53 million, buy-bust money, and other non-drug evidence.

The seized drugs were submitted to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for analysis while the two suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Taguig City police.

The suspects would face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
