TESDA remains most approved, trusted gov't agency – survey

MANILA – The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) remains the most approved and trusted government agency for the third quarter of 2024, according to the latest PAHAYAG survey.

The PAHAYAG 2024 3rd Quarter survey, conducted by Publicus Asia from Sept. 15 to 19, showed that TESDA received a 72 percent approval rating and 53 percent trust rating.

In terms of performance, TESDA was followed by the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) with 65 percent, and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) with 61 percent.

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) recorded an approval rating of 60 percent, while the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) garnered approval ratings of 59 percent and 57 percent, respectively.

The Department of Health (DOH) and the Department of Tourism (DOT) both obtained 56 percent.

In terms of trust, the AFP placed second as the most trusted government institution with 51 percent.

The BSP received a trust rating of 47 percent, while CHED and DOST both registered 45 percent.

The Supreme Court of the Philippines received a trust rating of 41 percent.

The PAHAYAG survey used purposive sampling with 1,500 respondents randomly drawn from a market research panel of more than 200,000 registered Filipino voters.

The panel is maintained by the Singapore office of PureSpectrum, a US-based panel marketplace with a multinational presence. (PNA)
