MANILA – University of the East defeated University of Perpetual Help System Dalta, 25-17, 25-20, 25-15, to remain unbeaten in the 2024 Shakey’s Super League Collegiate Pre-season Championship at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum on Friday.

Casiey Dongallo scored 11 points, including seven in the third set as the Lady Warriors secured their second win in Pool B.

Riza Nograles made five blocks to finish with eight points while Kayce Balingit, Beatrice Ann Zamudio, and Yesha Keith Rojo chipped in five points each.

“Before the start of the game, (assistant coach) Doc Obet (Vital) not to be complacent whoever is the opponent. We really have to play what we have prepared for," said Dongallo, who scored four points in the first set.

Cyrille Joie Alemaniana led the Altas with 11 points on 10 attacks and one block.

Shalia Allaine Omipon chipped in seven attacks while Winnie Bedana, Jemalyn Menor, and Camille Bustamante both added three points each.

Meanwhile, UE will try to sustain its winning form against Mapua on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Dongallo, however, will be out due to a scheduled platelet-rich plasma injection on an injured right hand.

Other matches will pit the University of Santo Tomas against Lyceum at 3:30 p.m. in Pool B while Letran and the University of the Philippines will square off at 6 p.m. in Pool C. (PNA)
