MANILA – The Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Friday warned motorists of a temporary traffic adjustment along Mindanao Avenue to make way for the construction of the Tandang Sora Station of the Metro Manila Subway Project (MMSP).

In a traffic advisory, the DOTr said the northbound lanes of Mindanao Avenue – from Congressional Avenue to Tandang Sora Avenue – will be adjusted and may result in traffic slowdowns.

“Motorists are advised to take alternative routes to reduce traffic congestion in the construction area. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding,” it said.

On Sept. 7, the DOTr closed the outer lane of the same stretch of Mindanao Avenue to construct the Tandang Sora Station.

As of July, the DOTr said the MMSP was about 15 percent complete.

Once completed, the 33-km. subway line will run north to south and have 17 stations along Valenzuela, Quezon, Pasig, Taguig, Parañaque, and Pasay. (PNA)
