DAVAO CITY – The Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) has formed an alliance with the United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) for local positions in Maguindanao del Sur and Maguindanao del Norte in preparation for the upcoming midterm elections.

During an assembly on Sunday night, Special Assistant to the President and PFP vice president Secretary Anton Lagdameo said the alliance aims to enhance governance in both provinces and the broader Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

“We are working together to strengthen our support for President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and improve the region, ensuring peace and effective service delivery to our constituents,” Lagdameo said in an interview.

He noted that the PFP has finalized the distribution of certificates of nomination – certificates of acceptance of nomination (CON-CAN) for its candidates in the two provinces.

The party endorsed Sultan Kudarat Mayor Datu Tucao Mastura for governor of Maguindanao del Norte and Datu Ali Midtimbang Sr. for governor of Maguindanao del Sur.

Former Maguindanao governor Esmael Mangudadatu, who is vying for a congressional seat in Maguindanao del Sur, also received the party’s endorsement.

The assembly was attended by BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim and various key leaders from Mindanao, along with all incumbent mayors. (PNA)
