LEGAZPI CITY – The highly anticipated Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) in Albay, originally set Oct. 12 and 13 at Bicol University here, has been rescheduled to Dec. 6 and 7.

In an interview on Tuesday, Ako Bicol Party-list (AKB) media relations officer Sally Luces said they want to ensure services and programs will be more accessible, disseminated and well-organized for the people of Albay, hence the need for a longer preparation.

"We are now coordinating with various national government agencies for the Serbisyo fair. We are expecting more than 100,000 beneficiaries from the three districts of Albay," she said.

The Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair is a comprehensive event that unites various government agencies to deliver essential services such as medical missions, job fairs, livelihood assistance and various aid programs directly to the people.

In a statement, AKB Party-list Rep. Elizaldy Co said that while the event was reset, the commitment to deliver quality service remains strong, as he reassured Albayanos that the delay would be for a better event.

"We want to make sure that all government agencies are fully prepared so that the Albayanos can benefit from this event. By Dec. 6 and 7, more of the programs are expected to be well organized and comprehensive," Co said.

The Bicolano lawmaker urged his constituents to take advantage of the rescheduled fair, spread the word, and continue registering through bagongpilipinastayo.com.

"This is all part of our efforts na ilapit ang pamahalaan sa tao. Patuloy nating uunahin ang kalusugan, kabuhayan, at iba pang (This is all part of our efforts to bring the government closer to the people. We will continue to prioritize health, livelihood, and other) essential services," Co said. (PNA)
