MANILA -- We know Adamson as the dominant force in women's baseball, that is, softball.

The Soaring Falcons were once a champion team in men's baseball, and on Friday, they made it back to the top.

Adamson turned La Salle back, 13-6, in Game 2 of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) finals at the Rizal Memorial Baseball Field here.

The Falcons made a huge comeback in the title clincher to deprive the Green Batters a second UAAP title in three years through a 2-0 sweep of the best-of-three series.

After losing Game 1 through a bad beat that saw game officials implementing the mercy rule when Adamson was ahead, 14-4, after the seventh inning of that game, La Salle went off to a hot start, surprising Adamson with a 5-0 lead at the top of the third inning.

It was all-Adamson from thereon as pitcher Jerome Yenson batted two runs in the bottom third to spark the team's epic barrage.

He then put his team ahead in the bottom fourth with a two-run sac fly as the team scored all its 13 runs within the fourth to the seventh innings while shutting down La Salle the rest of the way.

The Soaring Falcons won their 11th championship overall. (PNA)
