MANILA — All roads will lead to the city of Puerto Princesa in Palawan as the Batang Pinoy National Finals takes place there next week.

In fact, the Philippine Sports Commission has prepared for the influx of the athletes who will flock to the city.

“The PSC is ready for the growing number of delegates (who) will take part in the games,” National Secretariat head Manuel Bitog said on Monday.

The participants, representing 234 local government units, have begun arriving in Puerto Princesa to get used to the climate in the gear-up for the games.

They will be billeted in 16 schools, 10 of which have already been determined: Sta. Monica Elementary School, Sta. Monica High School, F. Ubay Memorial Elementary School, Manuel Austria Memorial Elementary School, Sicsican Elementary School, Sicsican High School, Puerto Princesa Science High School, Palawan National School, Puerto Princesa Pilot Elementary School, and San Jose National High School.

About 10,000 players, coaches, and officials are expected to be in town for the Batang Pinoy nationals, where 31 events will take place. (PNA)
