MANILA – EcoOil-La Salle booked the first seat in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup Finals after clobbering Perpetual Help, 108-91, in Game 2 of their semifinal match on Tuesday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.

The Green Archers quickly set the pace of the game after racing to a 30-17 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Despite the Altas' gallant stand anchored upon a solid three-point shooting, the Archers held on and even led by as high as 28 points early in the fourth.

Prince Alao led EcoOil-La Salle, which swept its best-of-three series with 22 points, one rebound, and six assists, while JC Macalalag added 11 points, two rebounds, and one assist.

Bright Nwankwo, Kevin Quiambao and Elaijah Gollena each chipped in 10 points with Nwankwo (11 rebounds) and Quiambao (10) each tallying a double-double.

John Abis led Perpetual Help with 21 points, three rebounds, and four assists.

The Green Archers will get a one-week break in PBA D-League action as the Marinerong Pilipino-San Beda Red Lions forced sudden death in their own semifinal series against arch rival Wangs-Letran Knights through a 74-51 win in the main game.

Nearly a week after they blew a 22-point lead and lost Game 1, the Red Lions this time maintained control of their lead in the end and even pulled away in the fourth quarter.

Pete Alfaro led Marinerong Pilipino-San Beda with 20 points, five rebounds, and four assists, while James Payosing added 12 points and nine rebounds.

Jacob Cortez and Cliff Jopia each added 11 points with the latter grabbing 13 rebounds.

Kyle Tolentino led Wangs-Letran with nine points and three rebounds in a game where Kurt Reyson, the team's main gunner, was held to just eight markers.

Game 3 is on Thursday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig. (PNA)
