MANILA  The presence of a northeast monsoon or "amihan" will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Ifugao.

The same weather system will also be experienced in Ilocos Region and the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and isolated light rains, according to the 4 a.m. report of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, this time due to easterlies or localized thunderstorms.

The weather bureau warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Luzon will have moderate to strong winds blowing northeast with moderate to rough coastal waters.

Light to moderate winds blowing east to northeast are expected in Visayas and Mindanao with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The country's temperature will range from 23°C as the lowest and 31°C as the highest. (PNA)
