COTABATO CITY – Anti-narcotics agents arrested a high-value target and seized 500 grams of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Panamao, Sulu on Tuesday afternoon.

In a statement, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM) Director Christian Frivaldo identified the arrested suspect as Reximar Muhammad, 30, of Barangay Danag, Patikul, Sulu.

PDEA agents arrested Muhammad after he handed over the prohibited drugs worth PH 3.4 million to an undercover agent in Barangay Seit Lake Poblacion at about 4 p.m., Frivaldo said.

Muhammad also yielded the marked money and a mobile phone.

“It was an intelligence-driven operation with the help of the police and military in Sulu,” Frivaldo said.

Meanwhile, a drug buy-bust conducted in Barangay Rosary Heights 10 in this city on Monday resulted in the dismantling of a drug den and apprehension of three drug personalities.

Arrested were Jame Cuyrill Curayat, 31, the drug den maintainer, and his companions, Wahid Panabal and Michael Igno.

PDEA-BARMM operatives and the local police also confiscated seven pieces of sachets that contained “shabu” worth PHP34,000 and drug paraphernalia. (PNA)
