MANILA – Two rape suspects tagged as most wanted persons (MWPs) in Quezon City were arrested in separate operations on Monday, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said Tuesday.
In a statement, QCPD Director Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan said 31-year-old Randy Baloncio, tagged as the No. 4 station-level MWP, was arrested in an operation by members of the Talipapa Police Station (PS 10) near a mall in Barangay Pag-asa, Quezon City at about 10 a.m.
Baloncio has a standing arrest warrant for rape and rape by sexual assault issued by the Quezon City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 102.
Meanwhile, 53-year-old Danilo De Vera was arrested in an operation by personnel of the Payatas Bagong Silang Police Station in Zone 4, Barangay Beberon, San Fernando, Camarines Sur province at about 6:30 p.m.
De Vera, tagged as the No. 2 MWP of the Payatas Bagong Silangan Police Station, has a standing warrant of arrest for qualified rape issued by Quezon City RTC Branch 106.
Maranan said the arrested suspects would be turned over to issuing courts for proper disposition. (PNA)
