ILOILO CITY – Consumers of the More Electric and Power Corporation are encouraged to use the utility’s electronic or digital billing (E-Billing) program for their convenience aside from promoting paperless transactions, contributing to environmental sustainability.

Joy Fantilaga, MORE Power Strategic Communications Officer, said only over 6,000 from the close to 100,000 active accounts are using E-billing.
She said they want other consumers to adopt the initiative that promotes environmental sustainability.

“MORE Power's e-billing service not only made it more convenient for customers, but it also promotes environmental sustainability by reducing paper usage. Our company's commitment to enhancing customer experience through innovative solutions has been well received, as evidenced by the positive feedback and participation in the e-billing promo,” she said on Wednesday.

The utility, in September last year, introduced a promo where those who registered with E-billing were automatically eligible for the monthly raffle to entice more consumers to shift to digital billing.

It culminated with a grand draw last month, with prizes, including an E-bike, an E-4-wheel vehicle, and thousands of gift certificates awarded to winners.

Joy Barredo, a resident of Barangay Tacas in Jaro and winner of the 4-wheel vehicle, said that before shifting, she used to miss some of her billings because she was frequently out of the city.

“Actually, it’s a lot of struggle. I am always late with my payment,” she said in Hiligaynon.

Since she shifted to digital billing, she no longer has reasons to experience delays in payment because she can check her account and pay anytime and anywhere.

Those interested in shifting to e-billing can register by scanning the QR code or opening the link readily available on the Facebook page of MORE Power or other materials posted in their barangays or at the customer service office at the Hotel Del Rio.

The monthly billing will be sent directly to their registered email address. (PNA)
