CEBU CITY – The police on Monday filed drug charges against a 26-year-old jobless man who yielded 1.2 kilos of shabu worth over PHP8 million in a sting operation over the weekend in Toledo City, west of Cebu province.

The Toledo police identified the suspect as Jaymar Resuento, a resident of Barangay Poblacion, Toledo City.

The police also seized from Respuento a .45 caliber pistol with a magazine and six live ammunition.

“Respuento is considered a high-value individual due to the volume that he could dispose of every week,” a statement from the police on Monday said.

The suspected shabu confiscated from him weighing 1,213 grams with a street value of PHP8,248,400 was submitted to the Philippine National Police’s Regional Crime Laboratory for examination.

The suspect is now detained at the Toledo police station while waiting for his arraignment. (PNA)
