MANILA – The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) 7 (Central Visayas) is set to hold public hearings to gather information and opinions of stakeholders on the adjustment of the minimum wage range in the region.

The board will hold five public hearings in three venues in Cebu, Negros Oriental, and Bohol from Aug. 20 to Sept. 4.

"The public hearings shall be conducted to ensure that all sectors and parties, who stand to be directly affected by the Board's decision, are given the widest opportunity to be heard," the advisory said.

The first public hearing will be held at the DepEd Ecotech Center in Cebu on Aug. 20.

It will be followed by public hearings at the Balamban Municipal Hall in Balamban on Aug. 28, and the Capitancillo Cafe and Restaurant in Bogo City on Aug. 30.

Two more will be held at the Bethel Guest House in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental on Sept. 3, and the MetroCentre Hotel & Convention Center in Tagbilaran City, Bohol on Sept. 4.

The board urged stakeholders to join the public hearings nearest to them.

Interested parties may register via bit.ly/RB7PublicHearing.

Parties may submit position papers at the RTWPB-7 office in Cebu City or through email at rb7@produktiboatsahod.onmicrosoft.com.
