BUTUAN CITY – The Agusan del Norte Provincial Hospital (ADNPH) has become the first accredited Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training provider in the region, recognized by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

In a statement Friday, Department of Health-Caraga Regional Director Cesar Cassion highlighted the accreditation's significance for healthcare professionals in the area.

“The accreditation will reduce our reliance on external speakers and resources, enabling healthcare professionals to access top-tier training without needing to travel outside the region,” Cassion said.

He added that the recognition will better equip healthcare workers with the necessary tools and knowledge through CPD programs and services.

The PRC in the Caraga Region officially conferred the certification to ADNPH during a ceremony Thursday.

Cassion said the recognition will ensure that health professionals are well-prepared to deliver critical healthcare services to communities, including family planning programs offered by ADNPH.

He also acknowledged the United States Agency for International Development, which provided technical assistance that contributed to ADNPH’s accreditation. (PNA)
