SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, Antique – The Antique provincial board resumed its regular session on Monday after it failed to convene in August due to the lack of quorum.
“It’s been a month now since we didn’t have a quorum, so we will be spending the whole day to deliberate the pending resolutions and ordinances,” said Vice Governor Edgar Denosta in a media conference.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) appointed three ex-officio members, replacing the presidents of the Sangguniang Kabataan and Antique chapters of the Philippine Councilor’s League (PCL) and Liga ng mga Barangay (LnB) to the provincial board.
The new ex-officio members who took their oath before Denosta included Mart Giric Galido, Ricky Lavega, and Julius Pierre Pacificador.
During the session, the provincial board approved Provincial Ordinance Number 2024-398, entitled “An Ordinance authorizing the Provincial Council on History and Cultural Heritage to install markers on statues, landmarks and historic sites in the Province of Antique.” (PNA)
