MANILA – Police officers arrested four high-value individuals (HVI) and seized over PHP6.8 million worth of shabu in a sting operation in Rizal province on Wednesday night.

In a statement Thursday, Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) chief Brig. Gen. Eleazar Matta said the suspects identified as alias "Oski", 40; "Verly", 33; "Sittie", 32 and "Jesus", 50, were nabbed about 10 p.m. at Sitio Malabon, Barangay San Juan in Taytay town.

Seized from the suspects were seized six transparent plastic bags and two heat-sealed plastic sachets containing 1.01 kg. of shabu and other non-drug evidence.

Matta said these suspects are distributors of shabu in the province of Rizal and surrounding areas, including Metro Manila.

He said "Verly", who has served a nine-year sentence for another drug case, was a known associate of a deceased prominent drug suspect.

Meanwhile, "Oski" previously served a 16-year sentence for a drug case is also wanted for murder.

The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence are now under the temporary custody of the PDEG Special Operations Unit 4A (Calabarzon). (PNA)
