MANILA – Low-cost airline Cebu Pacific (CEB) has canceled six domestic flights scheduled for Monday due to the forecasted impact of Typhoon Julian.
The canceled flights include5J 196/197: Manila – Cauayan – Manila, 5J 504/505: Manila – Tuguegarao – Manila, 5J 506/507: Manila – Tuguegarao – Manila
Affected passengers could avail of free rebooking without fare difference, for travel up to 30 days from the original schedule.
They could also refund their tickets or store the amount in a virtual CEB wallet.
CEB is also offering free rebooking or travel funds to passengers who wish to postpone their flights to and from Laoag, Kaohsiung, and Taipei from September 30 to October 2; and to and from Cauayan and Tuguegarao from October 1 to 2, 2024.
They could avail of their preferred option online up to two hours before their scheduled flight.
No flight advisories were released by the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) as of 7 a.m.
Typhoon Julian packs maximum sustained winds of 155 kph near the center and up to 190 kph gustiness.
Signal no. 4 which could cause significant to severe impacts from typhoon-force winds has been hoisted over Batanes, Babuyan Island, and Calayan Island.
Other areas in Northern Luzon are also forecast to experience strong to storm-force winds. (PNA)
