ILOILO CITY – Anti-drug operatives from Iloilo City Police Station (ICPS) 10) seized about 450 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of PHP3.06 million, during a buy-bust in Barangay Bakhaw early Wednesday.

In a report, the suspect was identified as 34-year-old Ronaldo Pedrosa alias “Onald/Naldo,” a resident of Barangay Bolilao, this city.

Also found in his possession was a caliber .38 revolver with ammunition.

The Iloilo City Police Office said the confiscated illegal drug items would be turned over to their forensic unit, while Pedrosa, who was tagged as a “high-value individual,” was turned over to ICPS-10 for custody.

In a statement, the Iloilo City government commended the successful operation, citing their “dedication to protecting the city from the scourge of illegal drugs.”

“We stand with them in their mission to ensure a safer and drug-free Iloilo City. Rest assured, the Iloilo City government will continue to support their initiatives to rid our city of illegal drugs and other criminal activities,” it said. (PNA)
