BUTUAN CITY – Of the 129 Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) projects started in 2022 in the Caraga Region, 122 have been fully accomplished as of April 14 this year, the Department of Social Welfare and Development in Caraga Region (DSWD-13) said Tuesday.

The project were funded through the SLP’s Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan program (PAMANA), the DSWD-13 said in a statement.

PAMANA provides livelihood interventions and infrastructure projects to conflict-afflicted and vulnerable communities in the country.

It is managed by the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity.

Each of the completed projects under the SLP-PAMANA costs PHP300,000.

As of April 14, a total of PHP36,6 million worth of SLP-PAMANA projects were implemented in the region.

Most of the completed projects were in Surigao del Sur (72) and Surigao del Norte (26).

In Agusan del Norte, 14 SLP-PAMANA projects were completed as of this month, while Agusan del Sur also has 10 finished projects.

“To date, the program has attained a 94-percent completion rate for its 129 targets. The program aims to turn over the remaining seven projects this semester,” the agency said. (PNA)
