CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Some PHP1.2 million worth of illegal drugs were seized from three drug suspects in a buy-bust in Baliwag City, Bulacan on Wednesday.
In his report on Thursday, Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., director of the Police Regional Office-Central Luzon (PRO-3), identified the suspects as Elmer Groyon, 59, of Barangay Pulo, San Rafael; Aries Inovero, 42, of Barangay Bagong Barrio, San Rafael; and Marlon Paguiligan, 44, of Barangay Pinagbarilan, Baliwag.
Hidalgo said Groyon and Inovero were both on the unified watchlist of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) as high-value targets.
He said all the suspects were arrested while selling a transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer.
Hidalgo said police operatives seized from the suspects eight pieces of transparent plastic sachets and five ice bags containing shabu with an estimated weight of 180 grams and standard drug price of PHP1,224,000.
Also confiscated from the suspects were PHP5,000 buy-bust money and a white Toyota Vios being used by the group in their illegal drug activities.
The suspects will be charged with violation of Sections 5, 11 and 26 of Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act). (PNA)
